Members of Minehead and District U3A who have taken part in the Shared Learning Project – in partnership with the Exmoor National Park Authority – contributed to the Heritage Open Day at White Rock Cottage, Simonsbath on Saturday 11th September.

U3A Chair John Batt discussing the Knight Family Archive Transcription Project with visitors to the Heritage Open Day, 11 Sept 2021.

There was a constant stream of people wanting to see the cottage and the remains of the Picturesque gardens at Ashcombe, and interested to hear of the Knight Family. The U3A team have been transcribing documents which were found in an attic in Worcestershire, (and are now in the Somerset Heritage Centre in Taunton) working from digital scans continually during the Pandemic.
