Are you running your anti virus scan regularly?

Friendly advice!

1: Please make sure you run your anti virus program at least once a week!  There seems to be a growth generally in the cases not so much of viruses, but of a different, but just as insidious, creature known as a key-tracker.  These infections are easier to get hold of than the delta variant and are potentially just as dangerous.  A key tracker’s purpose is to focus on the websites that you visit which need a password – the software then notes the keystrokes you use when entering your password!

2: Try (!) never to do banking on a mobile device.  Banks are stepping up their security, but the villains are also strengthening their game.

We can recommend AVG and Avast as free antivirus software packages – and both have increased protection for modest fees.  If you have any concerns at all, please contact giving details of your device, and the antivirus package you are using, and they will try to confirm the suitability, etc.  You can also join us at Computer Confidence.
