Our First u3a Day – Wednesday 2 June 2021
Whether you decide to plan for a physical event or keep it virtual, we hope that our first u3a Day will showcase the social and learning opportunities on offer.
Coordinating u3a Day, Sue Stokes, Barnsley u3a, said, ‘Many plans for 2021 u3a day will include digital platforms which are a huge part of u3a life now. The way that u3as responded to the restrictions caused by the pandemic needs to be celebrated.’ For further information please contact Sue Stokes.
Don’t leave your photographing till the day itself – we would love to see how you are preparing for the event, whether you’re crafting something or rehearsing via Zoom. Share them with us.
Check out the u3a Day page on the national website.
Share your ideas and get inspired with our u3a Day Facebook group.

u3a in my own write
u3a has expanded its social media by turning its In My Own Write page into an interactive Facebook group for members
Closed Facebook groups have been an important way for u3a members to connect with each other during a period when we have not been able to meet face-to-face. After the success of the u3a Keeping In Touch group, set up in March this year, u3a has adapted the u3a In My Own Write page to an interactive Facebook group.
This group will be a place for the talented u3a writing community to share books they’ve written as well as ideas and inspiration.
Join u3a In My Own Write.
Are you a u3a member interesting in helping with social media? We’d love to hear from you
