There will be a presentation to the Local History Group (David Temple, convenor) in January on this – watch the News on this website!

Great to see such a variety of interpretations for a ‘different’ Christmas.

I wonder whether our thoughts are clouded by ‘the light at the end of the tunnel’ syndrome!? Getting back to ‘normal’ appears tantalisingly close and it is all we can think of after practically a year of pandemic worry. Are we close to going back to life as we were? This is a question we could do with debating.

What a beautiful selection! Isn’t Spring wonderful. Derek – I am intrigued by your comment on borders, because I cannot see any difference in how your photos are edged. Please explain further?

That’s strange as I can see them, although I have to say they are quite discreet in this instance. If you look carefully at the bluebell image you should be able to see a purply/blue border. Admittedly it does show up better on the original image. I’ll make them more obvious in future. Borders have become a bit of a trademark of mine.

    Wonderful photos.

Like viewing them on the website.

Note as one of the website builders, with Martin spearheading it, I take some of the glory/blame.

    Happy snapping

    More wonderful photos.

Was particularly interested in Stewart’s comments on Depth of Field/Focus. Well explained, in my humble opinion.

It’s been years since I’ve taken the time to go “Off AUTO” mode.

Might have a go at “Aperture Priority” mode. Does anyone want to discuss using “Aperture Priority” mode? realise that a no from the Smartphone fraternity(smiley face).

    kind regards
    Mark
