You may have seen the article on Walking Cricket in the current edition of TAM.  This Friday, 24th June and for the following 5weeks, Somerset County Cricket are running 6 sessions to help introduce the game and establish some teams.

John Batt is hoping to convene a u3a group after these sessions – maybe even find an indoor venue for the winter. Note that it is played with a soft ball.

Venue:  Irnham Road Recreation Ground from 10am-11.30am.

The sessions will run from Friday 24th June and then every Friday 29th July (subject to weather).

The sessions are suitable for adults over 50 who are looking for an opportunity to meet new people and perhaps try something new.  The focus is on having fun and getting active.  All equipment provided. Games played with soft ball. No experience necessary, just a willingness to join in!

To book a place, simply call 01823 352266 or complete this form: https://forms.office.com/r/6ez3pMHtss

Hope to see you or anyone you know who may be interested on Friday. Refreshments in the Community Centre afterwards.  John Batt
