Just wanted to share this sighting with you all.  We had a rose-coloured starling visited twice on our bird table yesterday (07/06/21). We live in Porlock. Last time it came was May 2018.  Sadly it was too quick and couldn’t get a picture this time.

Picture below was taken in May 2018.

    Hi Kay,

Sadly I haven’t seen it today, but it has been to my bird table normally every day.  One day last week it was being picked at by normal starlings. I wished it would have spent the same amount of time in my garden as it did in 2018, you could have come over, I’d have loved you to see it.

It seems to be visiting gardens in 5 houses here, hope it hasn’t gone already.

I’m really envious of all your sightings and even able to identify them from their singing.  Well done, interesting about your sighting of the kite, we used to see them lots flying in the Oxford area.

Picture below is from a garden 5 doors away.

Have a lovely break in Scotland, and hope you see plenty of birds.

    Kind wishes

    Janet

Hi Janet – I am green with envy, I have never seen one myself.  Is it still visiting.
