In the light of continued uncertainty over the wisdom of, and members possible unwillingness to participate in, ‘physical’ meetings which gather larger numbers together in a ‘real world’ venue, the Committee are proposing a new meeting pattern for the New Year.

There will continue to be what will now be termed ‘Speaker’s Mornings,’ taking place on a monthly basis, on the third Thursday of the month.  These will be delivered as online meetings, certainly in the first few months of the year.   IN ADDITION, there will be a number of informal social gatherings taking place in varied venues in Minehead but also in Watchet, Williton, and possibly Porlock.

The first of these will be on TUESDAY 11th January, in the Northfield Hotel, Northfield Road, Minehead.  Members of the Committee will host a two-hour period during which you will be able to have time to chat with friends old and new, and catch up with news of what the u3a plans for the rest of the year.  Tea and coffee will be available from the hotel (at a modest charge).

Put the date in your diaries!
